Theatre Workshop by Kaushik Sen

*Workshop Overview

• Cities Covered: One city per month
• Participants: 15 to 16 per city, divided into 2 groups (A & B)
• Duration: 4 classes per group (Total 8 sessions per city)
• Class Duration: Minimum 1 hr 30 mins | Maximum 2 hrs

 

Workshop Breakdown
Group Structure

• Group A: 8 participants
• Group B: 8 participants

Each group attends 4 sessions in the month.

Classes 1 & 2: General Exposure to Acting

• Goal: Build awareness and ignite curiosity
• Introduction to theatre and acting fundamentals
• Understanding body language and voice modulation
• Improvisation exercises — tapping into instincts
• Discussing personal experiences and emotions as a tool
• Observation exercises to heighten awareness

Classes 3 & 4: Characterisation

• Goal: Dive into character building and performance
• Developing a character’s backstory, motivations, and conflicts
• Exploring emotional depth and psychological approach
• Scene work — performing short scripts or monologues
• Feedback and fine-tuning individual performances
• Q&A with Kaushik Sen on character interpretation
